Lead Patient Service Coordinator – Outpatient Mental Health Clinic

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Patient Service Coordinator to join our busy outpatient mental health clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration, a thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations, and experience supporting a team of mental health professionals. This position has the potential to promote into an Office Manager position for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities:

• Answer multi-line phones and greet clients at the front desk

• Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars

• Process payments and verify insurance coverage

• Handle medical records requests in compliance with HIPAA

• Oversee daily office operations and support clinical staff

• Maintain accurate and confidential records

• Manage supply inventory and coordinate with vendors

• Ensure a welcoming, professional environment for clients

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a medical or mental health office setting

• In-depth knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills

• Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work onsite (no remote work)

• Proficient with EHR systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite

Benefits:

• 10 days of PTO

• 10 Holidays off with pay

Pay:

• Starting pay is $18-$23 an hour, commensurate with experience

We are not seeking entry-level applicants at this time. Only candidates with relevant healthcare office experience will be considered.
