Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to function as a consultant to all staff and patients in the areas of skin prevention, wounds, ostomies, and continence needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professional nursing skill, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Consult with staff and patients regarding skin and wound care, ostomy management, and continence needs.
- Demonstrate and promote effective communication skills among team members and patients.
- Support and maintain a professional environment while exercising sound judgment in patient interactions.
- Exhibit mental and emotional tolerance when dealing with patients and families.
- Provide education on wound care and prevention as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- High school education or equivalent; completion of a registered nurse degree program required.
- Minimum of 3 years full-time professional nursing experience with medical-surgical patients.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Board certification in wound ostomy and continence nursing.
- Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.
