PURPOSE
The Sno Shoppe Clerk provides professional, courteous service to guests in the sale of souvenir and novelty items, while offering helpful information about the department and property. This role ensures proper inventory management, product presentation, and cleanliness of the sales and storage areas. The clerk is also responsible for accurate cash handling and completing daily paperwork, all while maintaining a welcoming environment for guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
· Guest Assistance: Provide superior guest service by assisting with questions and purchases, either in person or by phone.
· Cash Handling: Follow proper cash handling procedures when processing payments through cash, charge cards, checks, gift certificates, or comp slips.
· Accountability: Ensure accuracy in daily paperwork, including deposits, variances, and shift reports.
· Retail Area Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the retail sales area, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.
· Inventory Management: Maximize inventory levels on display, regularly rotate stock, and ensure products are fresh and properly priced.
· Storage Area Organization: Maintain the condition and security of the retail storage area, ensuring all goods are placed in their proper location and stock is rotated.
· Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the smooth operation of the retail area.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
· Cash Register (POS) and Guest Service experience.
Skills and Abilities:
· Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain clear, courteous communication under pressure.
· Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with all departments, fostering strong relationships and ensuring smooth operations.
· Customer Service: Ability to provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all guests while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
· Math & Cash Handling: Strong math skills with experience in cash handling, ensuring accurate transactions and financial accountability.
· Confidentiality: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all gaming and personnel matters, respecting privacy and sensitive information.
PREFERRED
Education and Experience:
Six (6) months cash handling.
Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
