We are seeking a full-time dedicated Psychology Provider Assistant to join our team. A Psychology Provider Assistant performs a variety of administrative and operational duties associated with patient care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative in a team environment, and capable of multitasking and working independently. This fast-paced position is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in psychology and the broader healthcare field.

We are looking for a candidate who is available to begin as soon as possible, and who is willing to commit to a minimum of a one year contract. A comprehensive paid training will be provided by the current staff member to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support by managing patient documentation including copying completed forms, scanning documents into digital records, transcribing medical information, and reviewing charts to ensure comprehensive and accurate patient histories, treatment plans, and summaries as well as prompt communication of any discrepancies or concerns to the psychologist.
  • Manage phone communications, schedule appointments, and oversee calendar systems.
  • Email platform administration, monitoring, and support.
  • Facilitate intake process by distributing and collecting paperwork, verifying insurance coverage, and creating patient records.
  • Organize and submit information for billing-related data, and invoices.
  • Coordinate testing services, such as scheduling testing as well as distribution and collection of psychological assessment materials for scoring.
  • Assist the preparation of clinical materials under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.
  • Oversee inventory operations including ordering, organizing, and maintaining supplies and assessment materials.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Social Work.
  • Demonstrates a strong interest in acquiring practical experience in a clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in English required; Spanish skills are a plus, but not mandatory.

  • Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail in completing assignments.
  • Ability to analyze, prioritize, and manage tasks effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Skilled in handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
