Registered Dental Hygienist at Liberty Dental Centers

Job Responsibilities:

• Hold local anesthesia certification (required)

• Adhere strictly to enhanced infection control protocols, including PPE requirements

• Review patient charts daily, ensuring thorough preparation for appointments

• Set up trays and equipment for daily appointments

• Update patient medical history and screen for potential issues

• Obtain necessary imaging and record the patient’s blood pressure at each appointment

• Manage supplies, instruments, and restock hygiene rooms daily

• Educate patients on the importance of oral hygiene and provide proper hygiene steps

• Evaluate gingival health, perform oral cancer screenings, and classify periodontal condition

• Conduct periodontal probing and chart oral conditions

• Scale, polish, and apply fluoride

• Take impressions for diagnostic and opposing models

• Communicate patient conditions and concerns to the doctor during exams

• Assist the doctor during clinical exams, documenting findings and recommendations

• Set up treatment rooms for each patient and ensure accurate treatment documentation

• Familiarize yourself with all restorative treatments provided by the office
