Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 public school located in Hiawatha, KS. This contract position runs through the current school year with an expected end date in May 2026. The role involves joining a collaborative speech team consisting of two other SLP professionals, serving a caseload of approximately 60 students with diverse and significant communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Collaborate with a team of SLPs to address the individual needs of students with varied speech and language disorders.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals.
- Conduct assessments, progress tracking, and documentation in compliance with school guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with educators, families, and support staff to enhance student outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP License required.
- Certified Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children in a K-12 setting.
- Strong ability to manage caseloads involving students with significant speech and language needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Location and Schedule:
- Position based onsite in Hiawatha, Kansas.
- Full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.
- Contract duration through May 2026.
