Registered Nurse/Cath Lab
Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 4x10s or 3x12s
- 4x10 schedule may include staggered shifts from 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Requirements:
- Active New York State RN License/Registration
- Current BLS Certification
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care RN experience within the past 2 years
- Cath Lab experience required
- Experience in hospitals of similar or greater size and acuity preferred
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures
- Assist with patient preparation, procedural support, and post-procedure recovery
- Perform patient assessments and monitor hemodynamic status throughout procedures
- Administer and monitor moderate sedation as appropriate
- Function in circulating and procedural support roles within the Cath Lab
- Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately within the electronic medical record
- Deliver high-quality patient care with minimal orientation and supervision
Assignment Details:
- On-call required approximately 9–10 days per month
- On-call rotation includes one Friday and one weekend per month
- Holiday call coverage may be required depending on contract dates
- Assist with prep and recovery areas as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Cath Lab experience
- Comfortable with both sedation and circulating responsibilities
- EPIC EMR proficiency
- Previous experience in trauma centers or large acute care facilities
