Support students with disabilities in the classroom by serving as a Substitute Personal Care Assistant. This role involves working one-on-one to provide physical, behavioral, and academic support throughout the school day.

PCAs are vital in maintaining a safe and inclusive environment where students can fully participate in school life, even during staffing absences.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

• Prior experience in special education or personal care preferred

• Ability to assist with lifting and personal hygiene tasks

• Strong interpersonal and observational skills

• Current PA clearances required

Responsibilities:

• Follow individualized care and behavior support plans

• Help students with physical needs including feeding, toileting, and transitions

• Monitor classroom behavior and assist with de-escalation when necessary

• Encourage participation and help reinforce academic content

• Maintain detailed documentation of services provided

• Collaborate with school staff to meet daily goals for the student
