Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support high school students in a resource setting. This position is designed for educators passionate about fostering academic growth in either English or Math, tailoring instruction to meet diverse learning needs. The role spans the school year, with a start date in August and concluding in May.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in English or Math to high school students with special education needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff regarding academic and behavioral goals.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory and district policies.
Qualifications:
- Montana Special Education Certification is required; pending certifications will be considered if candidates commit to applying for Montana certification.
- Experience working with high school students in special education settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and assessment tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
