Job DescriptionA respected behavioral health company that's been open for over 25 years is adding Admissions Coordinators to their existing team. The company provides treatment for SUD with Co-Occurring Disorders and is in-network with several commercial insurances, as well as TriCare.
The admissions department is remote and moving towards more of a modern call center environment using a talk track to keep the calls moving towards a decision. Call volume is manageable with most calls from website traffic or alumni/business development leads. Their admissions hours are 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST and the hours/schedule can shift.
We're looking for someone experienced with industry technology (call tracking systems, EHR, CRM, instant VOB, etc.) that's passionate about their organization. This opportunity offers a good compensation plan (salary plus bonus), and excellent benefits at a stable organization.
Principal Responsibilities
- Answer phone calls and respond to internet inquiries from potential patients or families of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders.
- Maintain an empathetic and compassionate state of mind while utilizing a talk track to keep conversations moving forward in a positive direction and ensuring all vital talking points are touched upon.
- Help callers move from a contemplative mindset to making a decision about whether or not to seek admissions to residential treatment.
- Collect relevant patient health and insurance information to ensure patient is an appropriate fit for our treatment services and create files in Electronic Health Record system.
- Always ensure patient confidentiality.
- Explain insurance coverage, out-of-pocket treatment costs and schedule patient admissions for the treatment facility.
Qualifications/Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a behavioral healthcare admissions call center setting.
- Understanding of addiction, recovery, mental health disorders and issues impacting behavioral healthcare industry.
