Reports to: Director of Communications
We’re looking for a comms savvy, creatively driven Social Media Manager to run the day-to-day social presence for our agency.
This role is all about elevating the profile of Rise and Shine via social channels to attract and retain clients and employees looking to do their career best work. You’ll create the content, manage the calendar, keep channels active and engaging, and help tell the story of our agency, our work, and our people. The position is designed for someone who enjoys trendspotting, building great content and is eager to grow within an agency setting.
You’ll work closely with the Director of Communications and collaborate directly with senior leadership and other agency teams to bring ideas to life. If you’re a strong writer, a sharp social thinker, and someone who likes making things happen, we want to meet you.
Responsibilities
Content Creation

Develop engaging, platform-appropriate social content that showcases agency work, culture, thought leadership, and industry perspectives

Write clear, compelling social copy that reflects the agency’s voice and point of view

Create or coordinate visual assets including graphics, photography, and short-form video content

Translate ideas and agency initiatives into compelling social storytelling

Stay current with social trends and formats to keep our content fresh and relevant
Social Planning & Project Management

Keep a pulse on cultural and industry conversations, identifying patterns, trends, and moments that matter to the agency

Develop and maintain the agency’s social content calendar

Coordinate content with the Director of Communications and agency leadership

Manage timelines, approvals, and revisions for social content
Channel and Community Management

Manage the agency’s social channels (LinkedIn, Meta) including publishing and day-to-day monitoring
-
Monitor engagement and help foster meaningful interactions with our community (e.g., seek opportunities for agency leaders to engage with industry/media content).

Track and report on channel performance and identify opportunities to improve reach and engagement
Collaboration

Work closely with the Director of Communications to support agency marketing and communications efforts

Collaborate with agency leaders and internal teams to source stories and content ideas

Present ideas and content concepts clearly and confidently

Potential to support special projects, client campaigns, and events as needed
Qualifications
-
3–5 years of social media experience for a brand, agency, non-profit or media organization

A strong writer who understands tone, voice, and what works on social

Hands-on experience with basic photo/video creation and editing for digital platforms

Creative, resourceful and on top of social trends

Highly organized with strong project management skills

Comfortable working with senior leadership and incorporating feedback
