Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee daily fabrication operations and workflow to meet production targets.
  • Ensure all fabricated components and assemblies meet specified quality standards and design specifications.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of fabrication technicians, fostering a high-performance and safety-conscious culture.
  • Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Coordinate with production planning and other departments to optimize schedules, material flow, and resource allocation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex fabrication issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Oversee the preventative maintenance and calibration of fabrication equipment and machinery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within fabrication processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in various fabrication techniques (welding, cutting, forming, machining).
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or workshop setting.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures and safety regulations relevant to fabrication.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and motivate a team of fabricators.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam) for reviewing designs or generating programs.
  • Certifications in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Advanced welding certifications (e.g., CWI, specialized material welding).
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for production planning and tracking.
