Position Summary:
The General Laborer supports daily operations by performing a variety of manual tasks to assist with production, maintenance, and yard organization. This position ensures work areas are clean, materials are handled safely, and equipment is prepared for use. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and able to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move materials within the yard or plant.
- Assist operators and technicians with setup, cleanup, and basic equipment maintenance.
- Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
- Perform general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, pressure washing, and trash removal.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment as directed (training provided).
- Help with inventory, staging, and material preparation for jobs.
- Report any unsafe conditions or damaged equipment to supervisor immediately.
- Support other departments or projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous general labor, manufacturing, or oilfield experience a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and outdoor conditions.
- Requires wearing PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and hard hats.
Schedule and Pay:
- Full-time; schedule varies by department needs.
- Pay: $16/hr
