An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical Oncology to contribute expert care on a well-established oncology unit. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients in a 13-bed unit with a patient ratio typically between 4:1 and 5:1
- Administer chemotherapy with precision and care following unit protocols
- Collaborate with a cohesive team of experienced nursing staff and leadership who prioritize patient safety
- Utilize electronic medical records system (Meditech) for documentation and care coordination
- Participate in self-scheduling with a commitment to cover every other weekend for adequate work-life balance
- Uphold unit guidelines and infection control standards, contributing to the units track record of no CAUTI for over three years, no CLABSI for over four months, and no CDIFF acquired infections for over a year
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid RN license
- Medical-Surgical Oncology nursing experience required
- Chemotherapy certification preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centered and professional approach
