GQR Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Bangor, Maine.

Specialty: PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
Facility: Eastern Maine Medical Center – Bangor, ME
Shift: 36 hrs/week, variable (primarily 0530–1500)

Overview:
High-volume Level II Trauma Center seeking an experienced PACU RN. Unit handles ~50 cases/day across inpatient and outpatient procedures, including complex recoveries and occasional ICU/vented patients.

Requirements:

2–3+ years PACU experience (no first-time travelers)
Strong pre-op + PACU experience required
Experience with ICU holds, vents, and critical care drips
EMR: Cerner or Epic

Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS (required)

Details:

Ratios: 1:1–2 (ASPN guidelines)
10 or 12-hour shifts
Weekend rotation (varies by census)
Call: ~1x/month
May float between pre-op and PACU

Additional Info:
Recovery includes a wide range of surgical cases (trauma, ortho, neuro, GYN, thoracic, GI, GU, peds, IR/cath lab, and more).
