This is a unique opportunity to work as part of an ACT Team serving adults in a Manhattan shelter setting, providing high-quality psychiatric care to a vulnerable population. Title: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Location: Manhattan Shelter ACT Team
Salary + Benefits:
• $85–$100 per hour
• Part-time: 3 days per week (approximately 21 hours)
• Flexible schedule (8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM)

Responsibilities of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations for adult patients (primarily ages 18+)
• Manage and monitor a monthly caseload of approximately 34 patients
• Provide psychiatric care as part of an ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient stability and treatment goals
• Document all clinical encounters accurately using the Foothold Awards EMR system
• Participate in team meetings twice per week at the Manhattan location
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a shelter-based setting
Requirements of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
• Active New York State PMHNP license
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
• Eligible for and able to obtain DEA registration
• Experience working with adult psychiatric populations preferred
• Open to new graduates with prior psychiatric RN experience
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based, community mental health setting
