Job DescriptionAccounts Receivable Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage and optimize our client’s B2B collections process. This role is responsible for maintaining positive client relationships while ensuring timely payments and minimizing outstanding receivables. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a solid understanding of accounting principles related to receivables and collections. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $19 and $23/hr.
Responsibilities:

Manage the full-cycle accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment application, and collections

Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up with business clients to ensure timely payment

Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in a professional and timely manner

Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, customer service, and finance to address client issues

Maintain accurate records of collection activities and communications in the ERP or accounting system

Assess creditworthiness of new and existing clients and recommend credit limits or terms

Prepare and present regular reports on collection status, outstanding balances, and risk accounts

Support month-end closing activities and assist with audits as needed

Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
Qualifications:
-
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred

2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, with a strong focus on B2B collections

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel

Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
