Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:
\n
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required with previous charge experience required
\n• Must be flexible with weekend requirements and able to work 50% of weekends during contract
\n• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 (rarely 1:5 during emergencies)
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS
\n• Must have telemetry experience, proficient neuro experience, and management of drips
\n• Preferred experience includes conscious sedation and Level 1 trauma
\n• Floating is 100% required - may float to Med-Surg, PCU, ICU levels of care
\n• May be expected to provide charge coverage with training and resources
\n• Must agree to possibility of precepting and/or having students shadow
\n• Care for patients with CVAs, hydrocephalus, brain tumors and resections, seizures, TBIs, trauma cases, GI surgeries, and wound care
\n• Skills required include arterial line management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, chest tubes, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and titrating cardiac drips
\n• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
\n• Call-in shifts must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract
\n• Cerner charting system preferred
\n• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
