Loan Officer – St. Tammany Parish

Magee Financial, a trusted regional lender with over 60 years of service, is seeking a high-performing Loan Officer to join our team in St. Tammany Parish. This is a key position for someone ready to hit the ground running—originating and collecting loans, building lasting customer relationships, and contributing to a culture of growth.
We make and service both consumer installment and real estate loans. The right candidate will bring proven sales experience, confidence in going out to find new customers, and a relentless focus on results.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, lending, or a high-performance sales environment
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a competitive spirit and a strong desire to succeed
- Comfortable with loan collections and customer outreach—on the phone, in the field, and in person
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to set, pursue, and exceed goals
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and close consumer and real estate loans
- Pursue new business and develop a dependable loan portfolio
- Collect and service loans in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain strong customer relationships and provide excellent service
- Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly performance reports
Skills & Tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
- Experience using or learning loan management systems
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Willingness to adapt and grow with a team committed to expansion
