A growing company is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join the team. This role plays a key part in supporting the organization's accounting operations, including customer billing, payroll data entry, general bookkeeping responsibilities, and also offers the opportunity to learn "take off"-reviewing blueprints to determine electrical and lighting needs.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and experienced with accounting tools such as QuickBooks. They should be comfortable working independently, possess strong organizational skills, and be eager to grow within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform customer billing and maintain up-to-date financial records
- Input employee payroll data into ADP for labor billing (prior ADP experience not required)
- Support general bookkeeping and accounting operations
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure accuracy and timely reporting
- Learn and assist in "take off" activities by reviewing blueprints for electrical and lighting estimation
- Work independently with minimal supervision
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Prior experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is required
- Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Word
- Strong understanding of Accounting Principles
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within a diverse 23-person team
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently under a hands-off manager
