Job Title: Mechanical Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a mechanical designer who will be responsible for taking engineering drawings, pulling BOMs, loading data into ERP systems, and attaching labor hours to sheet metal jobs. This role focuses on data entry into ERP systems rather than estimating or pricing.

Responsibilities

  • Take engineering drawings and interpret them accurately.
  • Pull and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Load and enter data into ERP systems.
  • Attach labor hours to sheet metal jobs.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting and nesting.
  • Experience with Pronest software.
  • Ability to work with AutoCAD and some 3D experience is helpful (Inventor is acceptable).
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal and flat patterns.
  • Capable of reviewing models and verifying accuracy, including understanding weld shrinkage and real-world impacts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in ERP systems or experience working on the shop floor is beneficial.
  • A strong work ethic and being a good human are top priorities.

Work Environment

This position requires working onsite five days a week. The environment is supportive and encourages growth, with an emphasis on collaboration and precision in drafting and design. #mneng26

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Woodbury, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $34.00/hr.
