Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product specifications.
  • Document inspection results accurately, including non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Identify and report defective materials or products, initiating appropriate containment and disposition procedures.
  • Ensure all products meet established quality standards, engineering specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment according to established schedules and procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and inspection methodologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and observational skills for identifying product defects and non-conformances.
  • Proficient in documenting inspection results, creating non-conformance reports, and basic data entry.

Bonus Qualifications

  • ASQ Certification (e.g., Certified Quality Inspector, Certified Quality Technician)
  • Proficiency with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software or data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or other advanced metrology equipment
