About the Role:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Pine Creek Manor, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care to our residents. Your primary focus will be to support the nursing staff by assisting residents with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. This position requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, effective communication, and teamwork within a dynamic healthcare environment. You will be responsible for monitoring residents' health status and reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute significantly to enhancing the quality of life for our residents and supporting the overall mission of Pine Creek Manor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid CNA certification recognized by the state of PSV.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of nursing care procedures and infection control standards.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by the facility.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a long-term care or assisted living facility.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Additional training or coursework in geriatric care or dementia support.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other health indicators as directed by nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of resident rooms and common areas in accordance with facility standards.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques to prevent injury to residents and staff.
- Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff promptly.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance and quality care.

The required skills such as patient care techniques, communication, and observation are essential for providing daily support to residents and ensuring their well-being. Effective communication skills enable the CNA to interact compassionately with residents and collaborate efficiently with nursing staff and families. Attention to detail and the ability to accurately record health information are critical for monitoring residents’ conditions and supporting clinical decisions. Preferred skills like familiarity with EHR systems enhance the CNA’s ability to document care electronically, improving accuracy and accessibility of resident information.
