We are currently seeking an Experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients.

About the job:
- We are seeking a motivated, dependable, experienced, and passionate PMHNP-BC to join our team and provide services for adults in a diverse and dynamic outpatient private practice. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, making decisions quickly and confidently in order to meet tight deadlines, while navigating various platforms and providing excellent patient care. Must be experienced in interacting professionally and appropriately with patients and concurrently completing medical documentation. Looking for a long-term team member who is focused on outcomes and the development of a great working relationship with other providers and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including assessing mental health conditions, risk factors, and medical histories.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on their unique goals and needs.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring efficacy, side effects, and making adjustments as needed.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including psychoeducation and brief psychotherapy, to support clients in achieving mental wellness.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with clients, ensuring they feel comfortable, supported, and respected throughout their care journey.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, therapists, and case managers to ensure comprehensive, integrated care.
- Stay current with evidence-based practices, psychiatric treatments, and emerging trends in mental health care.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards, ensuring all care is delivered in a confidential, culturally competent, and safe manner.
- This is a W2 employee position at 40 hours a week with benefits (commensurate with experience).
- Position is very flexible! Can work four 10-hr shifts or 8-5 Monday-Friday, your choice. At least two (2) days of in-office availability is required; the rest can be telehealth if the provider desires following a 30-90 day trial period.
- Collaborative physician and malpractice insurance provided.
- Initial evaluations are scheduled for 90 minutes and follow-ups for 30 minutes, so you will not be rushed from patient to patient!
Requirements:
- Must be ANCC Board Certified as a PMHNP-BC in the State of Texas (REQUIRED)
- Minimum of two (2) verifiable years of experience working with in various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, or private practice. (REQUIRED)
- Must have a valid, unrestricted, and active APRN license (REQUIRED)
- Must have an active DEA license for the State of Texas (REQUIRED)
- Must provide a minimum of three (3) professional references (REQUIRED)
- Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health disorders across the lifespan.
- Exceptional ability to build rapport and trust with clients, ensuring a patient-centered approach to care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy, active listening, and collaboration.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems and technology to streamline patient care.
- A commitment to continuing education and professional growth.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, modern practice.
- Well-versed in medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and psychopharmacology
- Must be able to think critically and problem-solve with minimal supervision
- Must possess excellent time management skills
- Must be able to work well under pressure
- Must be caring and empathetic with exellent listening skills
- Must be detail-oriented and a team player
- Must be well-versed in working with computers, various software programs, and be able to navigate an electronic medical record effectively with minimal training
- Must be able to work hybrid schedule (in office and telehealth)
Education:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program. (Required)
Experience:
- PMHNP-BC: Minimum of 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- TX APRN (Required)
- PMHNP-BC (Required)
- TX DEA license (Required)
- Professional computer skills and know how to use Microsoft Office, Google G-suite, others.
Patient Population:
- Adults
- Adolescents
- Children (6 and up)
- Maximum of 14 patients per day generally

Pay: $120,000-$150,000 per year
