Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric RN for a Cardiac & Transplant unit position requiring at least 2 years of pediatric med/surg and IMC-level nursing experience, with ventilator experience and night shift availability.
Details
- Work in a Pediatric Cardiac & Transplant unit with Med/Surg overflow in a large academic hospital setting (500+ bed facility)
- Patient population includes children ages 0–22 years
- IMC-level RN role with float responsibilities to Med/Surg units
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- 2 on-call shifts per schedule block required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- NRP certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience required, with Med/Surg and IMC-level background
- Ventilator experience required
- Experience in a facility with 500+ beds required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- At least 1 prior travel assignment is preferred
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
- First-time travelers are not encouraged for this position — strong, experienced candidates are preferred
