Assignment Details:
- Shift: Day shift, typically 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Setting: Outpatient clinic with 4 exam rooms
- Team: Small, dedicated staff including RNs, physicians, physicists, and support personnel
- Patient ratio: Approximately 1-2 patients per RN
Responsibilities:
- Deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients according to prescribed plans
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary oncology team, including physicians and physicists
- Conduct patient intake, medication reconciliation, and thorough health histories
- Coordinate care effectively among providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize electronic documentation systems such as Meditech and Mosaiq for accurate record-keeping
Qualifications:
- Current Radiation Therapist credentials/licensure required
- BLS certification required
- Preferred: Experience in Radiation Oncology to support patient care in a specialized oncology setting
- Compassion for patients facing cancer, with a proactive and adaptable approach
