Assignment Details:

  • Shift: Day shift, typically 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Setting: Outpatient clinic with 4 exam rooms
  • Team: Small, dedicated staff including RNs, physicians, physicists, and support personnel
  • Patient ratio: Approximately 1-2 patients per RN

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients according to prescribed plans
  • Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary oncology team, including physicians and physicists
  • Conduct patient intake, medication reconciliation, and thorough health histories
  • Coordinate care effectively among providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Utilize electronic documentation systems such as Meditech and Mosaiq for accurate record-keeping

Qualifications:

  • Current Radiation Therapist credentials/licensure required
  • BLS certification required
  • Preferred: Experience in Radiation Oncology to support patient care in a specialized oncology setting
  • Compassion for patients facing cancer, with a proactive and adaptable approach
