POSITION OVERVIEW
The Assembly Supervisor provides the leadership role for the assigned projects at the shop level. The assembly Supervisor will collaborate with the Assembly Operations Manager and the Production Scheduler to establish and maintain team member goals for each project under his/her direction. It will be his/her responsibility to meet target ship dates and provide daily/weekly feedback on project completion and timing.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
Enforce practices to ensure that employee safety is a top priority.
- Assigning labor in the following areas to meet the production schedules for the project assigned:
- Assembly labor (Electrical, Panel Build and Mechanical).
- Installation labor (Electrical and Mechanical).
- Contract labor scheduling (Temp assembly, Installation support).
- Time tracking
- Establishing target hours per department, per job, and per detail.
- Training employees in proper time reporting.
- Daily employee and contractor time review to insure proper time reporting.
- Applies lean methodology and enforces departmental standards.
- Works with Inventory/Materials team to plan job releases and follow through with missing parts.
- Works with Service department to help resolve customer issues.
- Works with Engineering and Controls departments to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ensures that shop organization and cleanliness is a high priority.
- Manage Project builds including:
- Daily attendance at RAIL meetings.
- Mechanical Assembly.
- Panel Build.
- Machine wiring.
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic assembly.
- Managing Rework.
- Contract Labor as needed.
- Outsourcing as needed.
- Assembly area employee development.
- Employee
- Disciplinary action.
- Employee reviews.
- Employee path development.
- Ability to travel when necessary to customer facilities
- Assisting team with installation.
- Reporting process with Project Managers.
- Working/talking with customers.
- Build Quality Control

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree or equivalent from 2-year College or technical school preferred but not required.
- 2 years experience in a similar
- In-depth knowledge of automation equipment practices and standards.
- Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Alignment, Print Reading, and Rigging.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in handling employees and timeline management.
- Ability to manage automation projects from assembly start to installation complete.
- Ability to provide clear direction / mentorship to help train other team members .
- Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneNote, Planner).
- Proper Outlook and Teams etiquette to effectively communicate with all teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Basic job budgeting understanding (Cost and Time).
- Understanding of Manufacturing areas such as: Fabrication, Machining, and Machine Building.
- Experience in Electrical areas such as: Print Reading, PLCs, Robotics, Process Controls, Servo Drives, and Panel Builds.
- General understanding of Lean practices and 5S
- Requires very little supervision; strives to identify ways to improve job tasks or processes. Acts without being asked or required to do so, high energy and drive.
