Job Description
The Childcare Infant Teacher plays a crucial role in nurturing and educating infants in a safe and stimulating environment. This position involves caring for small groups of 1-12 infants using a play-based approach aligned with the standard state curriculum. The teacher is responsible for daily engagement that promotes healthy development, effective communication with parents, and collaboration in special needs care to ensure each child’s unique requirements are met.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care and supervision for infants in groups of 1-12
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities based on a play-based curriculum
- Monitor and support child development milestones regularly
- Ensure a safe, hygienic, and nurturing classroom environment
- Communicate daily updates and hold quarterly meetings with parents
- Manage classroom dynamics and facilitate engaging infant activities
- Maintain health and hygiene standards aligned with safety procedures
- Collaborate with team members for special needs care and overall classroom success
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in early childhood education
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- CPR, First Aid, and Infant CPR certifications
- Strong knowledge of child development and early childhood curriculum
- Excellent communication, observation, and collaboration skills
- Patience and familiarity with safety procedures
