Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable General Clerk I to provide essential clerical and administrative support. The successful candidate will perform a variety of routine clerical tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the office. This role requires organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform general clerical duties, including but not limited to: photocopying, scanning, faxing, and filing documents.
  • Maintain and organize office files, both paper and electronic, ensuring accuracy and easy retrieval of information.
  • Assist with data entry and record-keeping tasks.
  • Answer and direct telephone calls, take messages, and provide basic information to callers.
  • Greet and assist visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings.
  • Maintain office supplies and place orders when necessary.
  • Operate standard office equipment, such as computers, printers, and multi-line phone systems.
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping and financial record-keeping tasks as needed.
  • Prepare routine correspondence, memos, and reports.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of office practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using standard office equipment and software, including word processing, spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel), and email applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good customer service skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
