Job DescriptionOverview of the CT Technologist Role
The CT Technologist is responsible for conducting advanced imaging procedures utilizing a multi-slice CT scanner while also overseeing patient care, which includes initiating IVs and administering contrast materials under the supervision of a physician. This position necessitates certification in radiologic technology along with experience in diagnostic X-ray and fluoroscopy. The role is integral to a healthcare team, emphasizing patient-centered care within a hospital environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct a range of technical and patient care tasks that require independent decision-making while using a multi-slice CT scanner.
- Utilize power injectors and monitoring devices effectively.
- Initiate IVs and provide IV, oral, or rectal contrast as directed by the onsite physician.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and their families.
- Engage actively in a collaborative team environment, maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
- Continue to apply radiologic technology expertise in performing diagnostic X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Washington State Radiologic Technologist certification upon hire.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- National Registered Technologist - Radiography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
- Within one year of hire, obtain:
- National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography certification or
- National Computed Tomography Technologist certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least one year in a CT Scan department preferred.

Wage rates for this position are posted, indicating both minimum and maximum pay. The successful candidate's placement within this range will be determined based on relevant experience and other applicable factors. This range reflects base pay; additional compensation may be available, including shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses.
