Caf & Deli Attendant Government Cafeteria


Location: Washington, DC
Schedule: MondayFriday, morning shift
Pay: $18$22 per hour, based on experience
Weekends & Federal Holidays: Off

We are hiring a reliable and energetic Caf & Deli Attendant for a government cafeteria in Washington, DC. This position is ideal for someone who can handle both a coffee/barista station and a deli sandwich station in a fast-paced cafeteria environment.

The right candidate should be comfortable preparing espresso drinks, coffee beverages, sandwiches, wraps, grab-and-go items, and assisting customers during breakfast and lunch service.

Responsibilities:


  • Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, lattes, cappuccinos, cold brew, and other caf beverages

  • Prepare made-to-order deli sandwiches, wraps, paninis, and grab-and-go items

  • Keep the caf and deli stations clean, stocked, and organized

  • Assist with breakfast and lunch service

  • Restock drinks, snacks, pastries, and supplies

  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards

  • Provide friendly and professional customer service

  • Operate the POS system when needed

  • Help with opening, closing, and daily prep duties

  • Support other cafeteria stations as needed

Requirements:


  • Previous caf, barista, deli, sandwich, or food service experience preferred

  • Must be able to multitask and work quickly during busy periods

  • Must be dependable, punctual, and professional

  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs

  • Must be able to pass a government background check and obtain building access/badge

  • Positive attitude and strong customer service skills required

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, morning/day shift. No weekends and federal holidays off.

Compensation:
$18$22 per hour depending on experience. Tips may be available depending on station assignment.
