Job Description

Connections Personnel is hiring for a long temporary Office Assistant/Front Desk (Support Staff) for our client located in the Union County Area. Looking for a candidate that can multi task and handle a busy front desk for a local school system. Must have a Bachelors Degree and 1-2 Years of background in Accounts Payables.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle walk in traffic for a very busy academic department office where multitasking is often required.
  • Listen to staff, faculty, student issue, concern, and/or question and offer assistance and/or direction accordingly.
  • Intake details of issues that should be relayed to the Department Chairperson or other persons as appropriate.
  • Answer phones.
  • Receive incoming deliveries.
  • Relay messages to members of the department.
  • Assist Department Chairperson and their staff as needed on small scale routine tasks.
  • Routine office computer skills (Word, Excel, Email) & office knowledge (photocopier, phone).


Requirements:


  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree plus 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable.
  • Must have Microsoft Office.
  • Must be available to cover from February to the end of June with the possibility of extending.
  • Must speak English.
  • Drug test/background checks done prior to starting.


Schedule: 830am-430pm Monday thru Friday 35 hour work week.

Salary: $20/hr- $22/hr
