Special Education Teacher

Location: Torrington, CT
Pay: $40$45+ per hour, based on experience

Requirements:

• Active Connecticut State Department of Education Certification in Comprehensive Special Education (165 or 265)

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field

• Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education compliance

• Previous experience in a school setting preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

• Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
