    Certification Details
  • BLS
  • State licensure (North Carolina)
  • Certified in Radiation Therapy or Radiology through ARRT
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification through CCI
    Job Details
  • Assists physicians with obtaining digital radiographic images of heart, peripheral vessels and other required structures.
  • Controls radiographic equipment to acquire quality images.
  • Prepares procedure room and equipment for daily use and each procedure.
  • Documents data necessary for patient records, charge entry and image archive.
  • Delivers pre-, during, and post-procedure patient care.
  • Operates and maintains cardiac catheterization lab equipment.
  • May perform lead worker responsibilities such as training and education of staff.
    Job Requirements
  • Graduation from a Radiologic Science program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health and Accreditation, or from a special procedures program, or from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Completion of a course training in cardiac catheterization (transcripts required).
  • Certified in Radiation Therapy or Radiology through ARRT, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification through CCI.
  • Greater than 2 years experience at a large hospital Cardiac Cath Lab providing STEMI care and advanced Cardiac Cath procedures including pulmonary embolism, cardiogenic shock, ECMO, diagnostic and interventional treatment of CAD.
    Schedule Information
  • Days shift.
  • 10 hours per day.
  • 40 hours per week.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Cardiac Catheterization Lab providing STEMI care and advanced cardiac catheterization procedures including pulmonary embolism, cardiogenic shock, ECMO, diagnostic and interventional treatment of CAD.
