Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Milwaukie, Oregon. This position will play a vital role in handling financial reporting, managing general ledger activities, and overseeing accounting operations for multiple entities. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain the integrity of financial records.

• Manage Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Fixed Asset processes efficiently.

• Oversee the preparation and submission of sales and property tax returns.

• Coordinate annual business license renewals across various states.

• Collaborate with operational teams to support financial strategies, including annual budgeting and monthly reporting.

• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to maintain accurate records and streamline processes.

• Perform journal entries and daily reconciliations for various accounts.

• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial operations and reporting.

• Handle additional accounting duties and projects as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced technical skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong financial acumen.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic setting.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks and familiarity with payroll systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of reconciliation processes, including bank and credit card accounts.
