Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) – Clinic Setting | Contract-to-Hire
Location: O’Fallon, MO 63368, USA
Pay Rate: $37.17/hour
Job Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: 4 x 9.5-hour weekdays (8:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
No weekends or holidays
Position Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join a busy outpatient clinic environment focused on delivering accessible, high-quality patient care. In this role, you will work as part of a collaborative clinical team providing preventative services, immunizations, and patient support.
This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity, offering the potential for permanent placement based on performance and business needs.
All clinic positions are safety sensitive.
Responsibilities
- Administer vaccinations and injections, including influenza, COVID, and TB test placements
- Obtain and document vital signs
- Provide support during emergent situations in collaboration with the onsite provider
- Perform patient registration, intake, and checkout
- Assist with waiting room management and patient flow
- Conduct patient reminder calls, outreach calls, and appointment scheduling
- Serve as a chaperone during sensitive exams when required
- Help prepare the clinic and waiting area to maintain a positive patient experience
- Provide patient education and counseling related to vaccines and preventative care
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or District of Columbia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, including CPR and AED operation
- Minimum 1 year of related healthcare experience in a clinical setting
- Experience administering immunizations and injections and providing vaccine education
- Experience documenting in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR), preferably EPIC
- Ability to take and document vital signs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room environments
Note: Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to long-term care settings (nursing homes, home health, LTACs, or skilled nursing facilities) will not be considered due to the fast-paced clinic environment.
