Lead Machinist Job Description:
PrideStaff is working with a local manufacturing facility who is in search of a Lead Machinist to join their team. The Lead Machinist is responsible for the machining of fixtures, tooling, parts, and test coupons from composite and metals. The Lead Machinist will train and lead the machining department with superb leadership and knowledge skills. The Lead Machinist will perform hands-on machining operations and support maintenance, troubleshooting, assessments, and the repair work of valves (Block Valves, PSV/SRV, & or Pneumatic & Electric Actuators). The ideal Lead Machinist has multiple years of experience as a Machinist, understands lean manufacturing, can solve minor to complex issues as well as lead others for exceptional execution of production. The Lead Machinist is a full-time, temp-to-hire position in Tukwila, WA.
Lead Machinist Job Responsibilities:

Perform Hands-On Machining of Fixtures, Tooling, Parts, & Test Coupons From Composite & Metal Materials, Utilizing a Variety of Manual Machines

Leads & Trains The Machining Department Staff & Provide Ongoing Performance Feedback to Team Members

Conducts Troubleshooting, Maintenance, Testing, & Repair on Valves, Pumps & Other Industrial Equipment in Both a Workshop & On-Site Setting

Reads & Interprets Schematics, Ensuring Work & Materials Adhere to Manufacturer Specifications & Completes All Required Quality Documentation

Performs Failure Assessments, Designs & Creates New Tooling, & Works With Management to Ensure The Department Has All The Necessary Resources

Follow All PPE & Safety Guidelines
Lead Machinist Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

5+ Years of Machinist Experience Required

Set up & Operate Machines & Lead The Team in Execution

Understands Proper Troubleshooting For Machines & Promptly Address Issues

Experienced With Lean Manufacturing & Tooling Methodologies

Excellent Communication & Time Management Skills

Superb Manufacturing & Leadership Skills Required
