Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher in an elementary school setting located in Nashua, NH. This contract position is for the full school year and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Utilize specialized teaching methods and resources to support students with diverse learning challenges.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in pliance with state and federal regulations.
- Foster a positive, nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and self-confidence.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a special education capacity.
- Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, behavior management, and acmodations for students with disabilities.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities.
