A well-established independent community pharmacy in Ogallala, Nebraska is seeking a full-time pharmacist to support an increased prescription volume and prepare for the opening of a second location. This position offers a contract-to-hire opportunity for candidates willing to work in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Type: Contract To Hire
Schedule:
- 1st shift, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM (Monday Friday)
- Some weekends as needed
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately under the supervision of the pharmacy manager
- Counsel patients on medication use and regimens
- Respond to patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally
- Maintain stock levels and controlled substance records
- Address insurance coverage issues and resolve patient problems
- Administer immunizations as required
Qualifications:
- Active pharmacist license in Nebraska
- Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience required
- Experience with retail pharmacy operations preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team of pharmacists and technicians
This pharmacy successfully manages over 10,000 prescriptions monthly and maintains a dedicated team including 2 pharmacists on weekdays, 3 on Sundays, and 5 pharmacy technicians. The supportive staff has significant tenure, ensuring excellent assistance for new hires.
