Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support both Pre-K and High School students in a K-12 school setting located in Dillon, SC. The position involves providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities, ensuring their educational needs are met according to state standards and individual education plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in a self-contained 3-4 year old Pre-K classroom at the elementary level, managing a dedicated caseload.
- Serve as a resource SPED teacher for high school students, supporting approximately 22-25 students in various subjects.
- Potentially provide instruction in a high school self-contained classroom with around 10 students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of special education students.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create supportive learning environments.
- Perform physical tasks related to the care and supervision of young children as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active South Carolina Teaching License with Multi-Categorical and Early Childhood endorsements.
- Experience working with special education students across developmental stages.
- Ability to manage classroom demands and physical requirements associated with early childhood education.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to student success.
- Previous experience in PreK and High School special education settings is preferred.

Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours onsite only
