Job Description

Job Title: Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant

Job description: We are looking for an independent and responsible person who will track invoices and receivables while supporting the accounting department and helping with office management. They will perform a range of general clerical, accounting and bookkeeping support functions.

Job Responsibilities include:

Process cash receipts on a daily basis
Mail monthly accounts receivable statements
Research and resolve accounts receivable issues
Daily code and enter accounts payable invoices into the accounting system
Review, code and enter employee monthly expense reports
Generate and mail accounts payable checks on a timely basis
Analyze discrepancies and unpaid account payable invoices
Scan documents for uploading into accounting software
Maintain vendor files
Assist with month end/year end accounting processes
Maintain and stock office supplies
Answer phone system and route calls
Greet visitors
Process and sort daily mail
Other projects as assigned

Skills & Requirements:

2 years of accounting work experience or previous training
Highly organized with the ability to multi-task
Knowledge of general accounts payable and receivable processes/procedures
Excellent attention to detail
Maintain confidentiality, honesty and consistency
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
Excellent communication skills and professional approach
Willingness to learn and adapt
Excellent computer skills with MS Office

Experience with Great Plains a plus
