Position Overview


Seeking a Mechanical/HVAC Engineer I to support industrial HVAC engineering and design projects across chemical, manufacturing, and industrial facilities. This entry-level role is ideal for early-career engineers looking to develop technical expertise in HVAC systems while working under the guidance of senior engineers in a collaborative environment.

Core Responsibilities


  • Assist in HVAC system design for industrial facilities
  • Support development of ventilation and pressurization systems for process areas
  • Perform basic heating and cooling load calculations
  • Assist in equipment selection and sizing
  • Prepare and update engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications
  • Support evaluation of existing systems and recommend improvements
  • Participate in field visits, data collection, and drawing verification
  • Coordinate with internal teams and contribute to project deliverables

Preferred Exposure (Not Required):


  • Dust collection systems
  • Plumbing systems (water, wastewater, stormwater)
  • Fire protection fundamentals

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 14 years of HVAC design experience (internships/co-ops considered)
  • EIT certification preferred or willingness to pursue
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC principles and mechanical codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, OSHA)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; exposure to Revit/Navisworks is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
