The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for representing the company directly to clients and prospects in the field, driving sales growth by developing relationships and identifying new business opportunities. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently while meeting sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities through face-to-face meetings and calls.
- Manage existing client accounts to maximize retention and growth.
- Present and demonstrate product features and benefits to potential customers.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to achieve targets.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
- Attend trade shows and networking events to promote company products.
- Provide feedback on market trends and competitor activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in sales (typically 1–3 years), specifically in B2B, is usually required.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build trust.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently without direct supervision.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and mobile technology (e.g., iPad).
- Logistics: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel frequently.
- Physical Demands: May require standing, walking, and driving for long periods
- Compensation: This position receives compensation of $37,440-$41,600 annually with the potential for performance based bonuses. This position has received $20,000 in bonuses over the last 4 years. The bonus amount is uncapped and is based on overall performance.
