Machine Operator I – Steel Fabrication

We are hiring a Machine Operator (Level 1) to join our growing team in a fast-paced steel fabrication environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are dependable, mechanically inclined, and ready to build a long-term career in manufacturing.
No advanced experience required—just a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
What You’ll Do
- Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with steel fabrication, welding prep, and production tasks
- Load, unload, and move materials throughout the shop
- Perform basic equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy
- Read and take measurements using tape measures, angle finders, and micrometers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures, SOPs, and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial work (preferred)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to read measurements, decimals, and perform basic math
- Experience using precision measuring tools (required)
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus
- Basic computer or 10-key skills are a plus
- Strong reliability and consistent attendance
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
- Lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs
- Work in an industrial environment (heat, noise, dust, moving equipment)
- Safely operate forklifts, cranes, and shop equipment
