Clinical Assistant - Concord Orthopaedics

Starting Salary: $17.00 per hour (Based on experience, certification, and licensure)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Flexible hours between 7:00am and 6:00pm, 8-hour days

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as a full-time Clinical Assistant. The Clinical Assistant works with the staff in the clinical area to help enhance patient care and optimize patient flow. The CA performs administrative and clinical duties in order to help the care team provide exceptional patient care to patients of Concord Orthopaedics.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Rooming patients: Retrieve patients from the waiting room and escort them into the exam room to prepare them for their visit.
  • Intake: Perform clinical intake of the patient by verifying patient information, including obtaining pharmacy information, obtaining and entering current medications, obtaining patient vitals, having the patient change to prepare for XRAY exams, and updating the data in the patient’s electronic medical record.
  • Chart Preparation: Reviewing the patient's chart for scheduled appointments to ensure that all necessary paperwork, imaging results, and documentation has been received prior to the patient’s appointment.
  • Gathering information: Contacting other health care facilities to obtain patient information such as diagnostic imaging and reports, past medical records and labs as necessary.
  • Administrative tasks: Completing patient notes for work or school as directed by the provider or calling patients to relay information from the provider.
  • Exam room prep: Assisting with room preparation including cleaning rooms and stocking supplies.
  • Patient Assistance: Working directly with patients to assist them during the visit. Toileting, assistance with paperwork, escorting patients to their vehicle or transport.
  • Running lab specimens: Assisting the clinical team with preparing specimens for laboratory and delivering them to the lab.
  • Supply Stocking: Checking each POD to ensure they have all casting, wound care, DME, medications and other supplies to keep the clinic fully stocked.
  • Clinic Tasks: Cleaning instruments, doing laundry, replacing sharps containers and biohazard bins, uploading reports to the EMR, assist xray with rooming patients.

Job Requirements:

  • MA, LNA, CNA or similar work-related experience preferred.
  • Desire to assist in caring for patients and being part of the clinical care team.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems preferred.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • On the job training will be provided.
