NOW HIRING!! A-Line is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Coder to join our team in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will be credentialed and maintain active membership with a professional coding organization (AAPC or AHIMA). This role requires 3–4 years of coding experience and strong expertise in ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. The Medical Coder will serve as a technical expert, resource, and analyst, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in coding practices and compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations.

Location: Columbus, OH
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $22-$23/hr
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and analyze coding policies and procedures to ensure accurate application of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding.

Assist in developing and implementing ICD coding system support programs across the agency.

Serve as a resource and advisor on ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines and policy.

Review and analyze ICD reports for appropriate code usage and assignment.

Collaborate to resolve coding discrepancies and support compliance with applicable regulations.

Assist the ICD program manager with policy development, analysis, and system oversight.

Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and coding documentation.

Provide technical expertise and training as needed.
Qualifications:
-
Education: RHIA or RHIT degree and/or CCS, CCS-P, or CPC certification.

Experience: 3–4 years of professional medical coding experience.

Credentials: Active certification (CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA) and membership in AAPC or AHIMA.

Strong knowledge of ICD diagnostic codes, CPT and HCPCS coding systems, anatomy and physiology, healthcare laws, and claims processing.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and coding software.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
