Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a K-12 school setting located in Wilkes Barre, PA. This contract role runs for the full school year (CSY), providing an excellent opportunity to support students communication development in a dynamic educational environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities.
- Maintain detailed records and progress reports in compliance with school and state regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education plan (IEP) development.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working in school environments with K-12 students.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders common in school-aged children.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to a diverse student population.
