Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and GE equipment proficiency for a night shift contract at an acute care, Level II Trauma facility in Massachusetts.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in a CT (Computed Tomography) unit
- Level II Trauma center
- 13-week contract
- 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
- Equipment includes GE VCT and GE Evo/Evolution scanners, Med-Rad pressure injector, and PACS
- Charting system: MEDITECH
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience (3–5 years preferred)
- Graduate of an AMA-approved educational program in Radiological Technology
- ARRT (CT) and BLS certifications required
- Active MA state license required if applicable
- GE CT scanner experience is required
- Proficiency with MEDITECH, PACS, Powerscribe, and pressure injector preferred
Additional Information
- Perform CT procedures following hospital protocol to produce quality diagnostic studies in an efficient and timely manner
- Responsible for scanner warm-up, QA, and bringing up pressure injector, PACS, and MEDITECH at the start of each shift
- Manipulate and adjust images to required specifications, including windowing, contrast, algorithm settings, accession separation, and reformatted image creation
- Communicate relevant findings to physicians, the Emergency Department, and nursing units as needed
- Complete administrative components of each procedure, including tech edits, patient escort, and room preparation and stocking
- Report any equipment malfunctions to the department coordinator promptly
