Position Overview
The Construction Manager (CM) supports execution of construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with VA project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee construction site activities and contractor performance
- Manage:
- Submittals
- RFIs
- Inspection processes
- Perform field inspections and maintain detailed reports
- Track schedules, milestones, and delays
- Support commissioning and testing phases
- Verify as-built documentation
- Coordinate with contractors and VA stakeholders
- Assist with issue resolution and claims support
- Maintain safety compliance and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5–10+ years construction management experience
- Strong field experience in QA/QC and safety
- OSHA knowledge required (OSHA 30 preferred/required)
- Federal/VA project experience preferred
Work Conditions
- Full-time onsite
- Federal clearance required
- Must complete VA-required training
