ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Talent & Learning and Development Manager enhance the offering and management of our first enterprise-wide Learning Management System (LMS) and internal learning strategy programs. As a newly created role within a growing manufacturing company, this person will play a critical role in developing learning strategies, partnering with business leaders, and delivering a cohesive training experience across the organization.

The ideal candidate has experience building out LMS platforms from the ground up, creating scalable development programs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams—especially marketing—to ensure training content is engaging, accessible, and aligned with our culture.

Key Deliverables

  • Build and execute a company-wide learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Own the continuous improvement and enhanced offerings of the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Partner with functional leaders to identify training needs, standardize programs, and ensure consistency across departments and locations.
  • Track, analyze, and report on training data and LMS usage to drive insights and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a company-wide learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Own the continuous improvement and enhanced offerings of the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Partner with functional leaders to identify training needs, standardize programs, and ensure consistency across departments and locations.
  • Track, analyze, and report on training data and LMS usage to drive insights and improvement.
  • Lead the creation and rollout of learning content, working closely with SMEs and the marketing team to define branding, tone, and user experience.
  • Manage compliance-related training and ensure accurate documentation and tracking.
  • Serve as project manager for learning initiatives, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Stay current on L&D trends, tools, and best practices to keep our programs modern and impactful.

To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, including direct LMS management.
  • Proven experience implementing or building out an LMS from the ground up.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • Ability to create engaging training content and collaborate with creative teams.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and digital learning tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience tracking training metrics and outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Office

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of injury in an office environment and occasionally a manufacturing shop plant environment. Duties include a typical office setting including extensive computer work, sitting or standing.
